Unlocking the Power of Offshore Bonds: Smarter tax planning for better client outcomes

    Friday 24 July

    10.00am - 11.00am

    About these sessions

Offshore bonds remain one of the most powerful – yet often under-utilised – tools in UK financial planning.

In this fast-paced, client focused session, we’ll show you how to turn technical knowledge into tangible value. Through practical case studies and real-life scenarios, you’ll discover how offshore bonds can help reduce tax, create flexible income strategies, and support long-term wealth transfer.

Whether you’re advising high earners, business owners, or clients with intergenerational planning needs, this session will equip you with the ideas and confidence to position offshore bonds more effectively and drive stronger client outcomes. If you’re not already making offshore bonds a core part of your planning toolkit, this session will show you why you should be.

    CPD

The event qualifies for up to 60 minutes of Structured CPD accredited by CII. By the end of the session you will be able to:

    •  Explain the key tax advantages of offshore bonds, the tax order of gains and the available allowances, to help position offshore bonds as a compelling tax-planning solution to clients.
    • Identify smarter, tax-efficient income strategies for higher and additional rate taxpaying clients, helping them retain more of their wealth through structured withdrawals and timing strategies.
    • Identify ways in which offshore bonds can be used alongside trusts and gifting strategies to support inheritance tax (IHT) mitigation and intergenerational planning objectives.
